Governor Calvert House Wedding: Erin + Daniel

I'd like to think he climbed a mountain for her.  Mt. Kilimanjaro, to be exact.  Shortly after Daniel and Erin met, Daniel went on a planned trip with his father to climb Africa's highest peak.  But for Daniel, the trip was fraught with trepidation.  And not for climbing the mountain itself, but because he was leaving behind this amazing girl and was worried about losing her to someone else while he was away.  At least, this was the story one of the bridesmaids told while Erin was getting ready at Governor Calvert House the morning of their wedding.  Turns out Daniel had nothing to worry about.  He got the girl, and on this day they were committing their lives to each other, to climb life's mountains together.

Erin and Daniel, I hope you're enjoying  your honeymoon in Hawaii!!  xo...

Annapolis Engagement Session: Erin + Pete

He took care of her after she injured her ankle in a game of broomball, driving her to the emergency room and calling her sister to arrange transportation and make sure her car would also find its way home.  It was only a month after they had met, but that's when Erin knew that Pete could be the one.

She took care of him after he was involved in a minor car accident.  They were 2 years into dating, but it was a solid reminder of all that she does for him and the way she looks after him.  One of the many things Pete loves about Erin.

He has so many qualities she loves that she couldn't begin to name them all.  She has so many qualities he loves that he didn't know where to begin.  And together?  I don't know where to begin, but I do know that a sweetness exists between these two that is calm and gentle.  A juxtaposition to their competitive, sports-imbued relationship.

We had so much fun walking along the beautiful alleys of Historic Downtown Annapolis, and the light was just gorgeous!  Erin and Pete, I can't wait for your wedding in September!  xoxo....

Annapolis, MD Wedding: Justin + Lauren

I closed out the 2010 wedding season with my sweet friend Melissa Manzione in Annapolis, MD.  Lauren and Justin were the absolute best bride and groom to share the day with.  Lauren's smile never faltered, even as she read a sweet note from her groom just before the ceremony, bringing tears to hear eyes.  And though her smiles were for different reasons - excitement, happiness, and true joy - they all stemmed from one place......love.

And Justin?  The sweet way he looked at Lauren all day long made me know just how much he cherishes and adores her.  There is nothing more beautiful than two people in love, which means Lauren and Justin were the best looking couple in the world on their wedding day.

Annapolis Wedding: Elisha & Justin

Yesterday I closed out the wedding season by 2nd shooting a wedding with Melissa Manzione.  I love shooting with Melissa - she's an absolute gem - and our shooting styles are quite similar, which makes it so much fun to work together!

So I wanted to blog the rest of the images from a wedding I shot with her earlier this year.  I *loved* the venue.  The Philip Merrill Center on the Chesapeake Bay is one of the world's most energy-efficient buildings.  Not only that, but it has a ton of character.  It's such a fun change to shoot at a venue that has unexpected beauty in it's strong lines and industrial facade, and lots of locations with amazing light for photos.  Lovelovelove!

Justin and Lish were a dream.  So easygoing and so much fun, and completely and totally in love!

All of the bridesmaids wore these adorable palm tree necklaces.  Perfect for a wedding on the beach!
