Their wedding day was a secret. Except to the small number of family who were present to witness their vows. They considered having a larger wedding - renting a venue, catering, the whole works. But because the majority of their families lived out of state and they didn't want everyone to have to travel, they decided to do something a little different. And not just different in that their wedding was small and intimate, but that instead of receiving gifts from family, they are giving a gift instead. Laura and Drew will be gifting hand made albums from their wedding day to all those who were not present as they exchanged their vows and celebrated their commitment to each other.
This gesture speaks volumes to who Laura and Drew are - caring, giving, compassionate, loving and generous. I loved every bit of spending their day with them and getting to see just how much love they have for each other.
Laura's "something blue" - 2 hearts pierced by an arrow - and her promise ring from Drew.
Seeing his bride-to-be for the first time, just before the ceremony...
Skyping with family that couldn't be there...
It also happened to be Steve's birthday, and Drew was sure to turn the attention back on his father to wish him a happy birthday and thank him and his mother for all they have done and for the use of their home on their wedding day.
Rice throwing gone wild...
Congratulations Laura and Drew! I hope to see one of your albums when they are finished!! xoxo... Pin It
